Nikita Osipovich Ėmin (1815–1890)

Ėmin, Nikita Osipovich. An Armenian historian and distinguished scholar; born near Ispahan, Persia, about 1815; died in Moscow, Jan. 7, 1890. Russian learning is indebted to him for his translation into Russian of all the Armenian historians. His monumental work, a ‘History of Armenia,’ is known to the world through a French translation.
