Sir David Erskine (1772–1837)

Erskine, Sir David. A Scotch dramatist and antiquary; born in 1772; died in Berwickshire, Oct. 22, 1837. His writings include ‘King James the First of Scotland’ (1828), a tragedy, and ‘Love amongst the Roses’ (1827), a military opera.
