Evans, Evan. A Welsh poet and antiquary; born at Cynhawdref, Lledrod, Cardiganshire, May 20, 1731; died there, Aug. 1789. He translated Welsh masterpieces into English, and wrote a poem in English ‘The Love of our Country’ (1772).
