George Park Fisher (1827–1909)

Fisher, George Park. An American divine and writer; born in Wrentham, MA, Aug. 10, 1827; died in 1909. He was professor of divinity at Yale (1854), and professor of ecclesiastical history (1861). Included in his works are: ‘Essays on the Supernatural Origin of Christianity’; ‘History of the Reformation’ (1873); ‘Faith and Rationalism’ (1879); ‘Outlines of Universal History’; ‘History of the Christian Church’ (1888); ‘Nature and Method of Revelation’; ‘Colonial History of the United States.’
