Louis Angely (1787–1835)

Angely, Louis (än’je-li). A German dramatist (1787–1835). He was for several years a favorite comic actor in Berlin, and skillfully adapted to local conditions a number of French comedies, among which the most popular were: ‘Schoolboy Pranks’; ‘The Journey at Common Expense’; ‘Of Seven the Ugliest’; ‘The Artisan’s Festival’; ‘Seven Girls in Uniform.’
