James Lauren Ford (1854–1928)

Ford, James Lauren. An American journalist and author; born at St. Louis, MO, July 25, 1854; died in 1928. He wrote several volumes of short stories and essays, among which are: ‘Hypnotic Tales’ (1891); ‘The Literary Shop’ (1894); ‘Bohemia Invaded’; ‘Dolly Dillenback.’ He is also the author of two books for young readers; ‘Dr. Dodd’s School’ (1892) and ‘The Third Alarm’ (1892); ‘The Brazen Calf’; ‘The Wooing of Folly’; ‘The Great Mirage’ (1915).
