Count Nicolas Louis François de Neufchâteau (1750–1828)

François de Neufchâteau, Nicolas Louis, Count (fro-swä’ dė nė-shä-tō’). A French public man and minor poet; born in Saffais, Meurthe, April 17, 1750; died in Paris (?), Jan. 10, 1828. He was admitted into the Academy as the author of ‘Discourse on the Way to Read Verse’ (1775); ‘New Moral Tales in Verse’ (1781); ‘Fables and Tales in Verse’ (1814); and similar productions.
