William Nugent Glascock (1787?–1847)

Glascock, William Nugent. A Scottish author; born in 1787?; died on Oct. 8, 1847, at Baltinglass. He was captain in the navy. His literary works include: ‘The Naval Sketch Book’ (2 vols., 1826); ‘Sailors and Saints, or Matrimonial Manœuvres’ (3 vols., 1829); ‘Tales of a Tar: With Characteristic Anecdotes’ (1836); ‘Land Sharks and Sea Gulls’ (3 vols., 1838); ‘Naval Service, or Officers’ Manual’ (2 vols., 1836).
