Archibald D. Gordon (1848–1895)

Gordon, Archibald D. An American dramatic critic and playwright; born in Ceylon, Oct. 11, 1848; died in Port Richmond, Staten Island, NY, Jan. 9, 1895. He entered a publishing-house in New York City in 1865, and subsequently became connected with New York and Chicago papers as dramatic critic. His works include: ‘Trixie’; ‘The Ugly Duckling’; ‘Is Marriage a Failure?’; ‘That Girl from Mexico.’
