Zadel Barnes Gustafson (1841?–1917)

Gustafson, Zadel Barnes Buddington. An American poet and prose-writer; born in Middletown, CT, March 9, 1841?; died in 1917. Her poem ‘Little Martin Craghan’ was very popular. Among her works are: ‘Can the Old Love?’ (1871); ‘Meg, a Pastoral’; and other poems, 1879; ‘Zophiel, or the Bride of Seven.’
