Hamilton, Clayton (Meeker). An American dramatic critic; born at Brooklyn, NY, Nov. 14, 1881; died in 1946. He wrote: ‘Materials and Methods of Fiction’ (1908); ‘The Theory of the Theatre’ (1910); ‘Studies in Stagecraft’ (1914); ‘On the Trail of Stevenson’ (1915); besides collaborating in several plays.
