Isabel Florence Hapgood (1850–1928)

Hapgood, Isabella Florence. An American translator and writer, who paid particular attention to Russian subjects; born in Boston, Nov. 21, 1850; died in 1928. She published ‘The Epic Songs of Russia’; ‘Russian Rambles’; and is well known as a translator of the works of Gogol, Hugo, and other European writers.
