James Albert Harrison (1848–1911)

Harrison, James Albert. An American educator and miscellaneous writer; born at Pass Christian, MS, 1848; died in 1911. He was professor of Teutonic languages at the University of Virginia. He wrote: ‘A Group of Poets and their Haunts’ (1875); ‘Greek Vignettes’ (1878); ‘Spain in Profile’ (1879); ‘History of Spain’ (1881); ‘Autrefois: Tales of Old New Orleans and Elsewhere.’
