Paul Hervieu (1857–1915)

Hervieu, Paul (ār-vyė’). A French author, born at Neuilly, in 1857; died in 1915. His first publication was a series of journalistic essays, ‘La Bétise Parisienne’ (1884); followed by ‘Les Yeux Verts et les Yeux Bleux’ (1886); ‘L’Inconnu’ (1887); ‘Peints par Eux-mêmes’ (1893); ‘L’Armature’ (1895); ‘Amitié’ (1900). Among his plays are ‘Le Dédale’ (1902); ‘Le Réveil’ (1905); ‘Bagatelles’ (1912).
