Vojtěch Hlinka (1817–1904)

Hlinka, Vojtěch [Adalbert] (lēng’kä). A Czech story-writer; born in Nekrasin, near Neuhaus, Bohemia, April 17, 1817; died in 1904. He was a Catholic chaplain at Hrádek. For thirty years he wrote stories and novels in profusion under the pseudonym of “Frantisek [Francis] Pravda,” all of which deal with life among the Czechs, and are exceedingly popular with that people.
