Hooper, Lucy. An American sketch-writer and poet; born in Massachusetts, 1816; died in 1841. Her home was in Brooklyn, NY. She wrote ‘Scenes from Real Life,’ a volume of prose sketches. Her complete poems appeared in 1848.
