Alois Jirásek (1851–1930)

Jirásek, Alois (yē-räs’ek). A Czech novelist; born in Hronov, Bohemia, 1851; died in 1930. His books deal with Czech life and character; ‘Between the Streams,’ ‘Against All,’ and ‘In Foreign Service,’ being typical examples.
