Jones, Joseph Stevens. An American play-writer; born in 1811; died in Boston, 1877. He wrote many plays, some of the best known being: ‘Solon Shingle’; ‘Eugene Aram’; ‘The Liberty Tree’; ‘Moll Pitcher’; ‘The Silver Spoon.’
