Petrus Frans van Kerkhoven (1818–1857)

Kerkhoven, Petrus Frans van (kerk’hōv-en). A Flemish miscellaneous writer; born at Antwerp, 1818; died there, 1857. He was editor of several journals; wrote numerous poems, tragedies, comedies, romances, and novels, among them ‘Daniel’ (1845); ‘Ferdinand the Corsair’ (1845). His works appeared in 1869–73 in thirteen volumes.
