Erasmus Darwin Keyes (1810–1895)

Keyes, Erasmus Darwin. A distinguished American soldier; born at Brimfield, MA, May 29, 1810; died in 1895. A graduate of West Point (1832), he rose to the rank of major-general in the Civil War. He wrote: ‘Fifty Years’ Observation of Men and Events’ (1884).
