Rudolph Keyser (1803–1864)

Keyser, Jakob Rudolph (kī’zer). One of the foremost Norwegian historians; born at Christiania, Jan. 1, 1803; died there, Oct. 8, 1864. Among his many important works were a ‘History of Norway’ (2 vols., 1865–70); ‘History of the Norwegian Church under Catholicism’ (2 vols., 1856–58).
