Gustav Kobbé (1857–1918)

Kobbé, Gustav (kob’ė). An American musical and miscellaneous writer; born in New York, March 4, 1857; died in 1918. He wrote: ‘Jersey Coast and Pines’; ‘Wagner’s Ring of the Nibelung’; ‘New York City and its Environs’; ‘Wagner’s Dramas Analysed’; ‘Opera Singers’; ‘Famous American Songs’; ‘Signora’ (1907); ‘A Tribute to the Dog’ (1911); ‘Modern Women’ (1915).
