Sir Sidney Lee (1859–1926)

Lee, Sir Sidney. An English scholar; born in London, Dec. 5, 1859; died in 1926. He was assistant editor, with Leslie Stephen, and later editor of the Dictionary of National Biography. He wrote: ‘Life of Shakespeare’ (1898); ‘Great Englishmen of the Sixteenth Century’ (1904); ‘The French Renaissance in England’ (1910).
