James Linen (1808–1873)

Linen, James. A Scottish poet; born in 1808; died in New York City, 1873. His dialect poems appeared in the Knickerbocker Magazine and the Scottish-American Journal; a collection, ‘Songs of the Seasons, and Other Poems,’ was published in 1852; ‘The Golden Gate’ appeared in 1869.
