Sarah Jane Lippincott (Grace Greenwood) (1823–1904)

Lippincott, Sarah Jane (Clarke) [“Grace Greenwood”]. An American writer of prose and verse; born in Pompey, NY, Sept. 23, 1823; died on April 20, 1904. ‘Ariadne’ is one of her best poems. She published: ‘Greenwood Leaves’ (1850); ‘Poems’ (1851); ‘Metric England’ (1855); ‘Records of Five Years’ (1868); and ‘New Life in New Lands’ (1873).
