Olive Logan (1839–1909)

Logan, Olive (Mrs. W. W. Sykes). An American miscellaneous writer; born in Elmira, NY, 1839; died in 1909. She began her career as an actress in Philadelphia, 1854; retired from the stage in 1868; then was a lecturer and a contributor to newspapers and magazines. She is the author of: ‘Château Frissac’ (1860); ‘Photographs of Paris’ (1860); ‘Women and Theatres’ (1869); and ‘Before the Footlights and Behind the Scenes: a Book about the Show Business’ (1870).
