Jean Baptiste Louvet de Couvray (1760–1797)

Louvet de Couvray, Jean Baptiste (lö-vā’ dė kö-vrā’). A French writer of memoirs; born at Paris, June 11, 1760; died there, Aug. 25, 1797. He wrote a licentious novel, ‘Adventures of Chevalier Faublas’ (2 vols., 1787–90); ‘Some Notes for Use in History’ (1795); ‘Memoirs upon the French Revolution’ (1795).
