Edward Lubowski (1837–1923)

Lubowski, Edward (löb-ov’skē). A Polish dramatist; born at Kraków, 1837; died in 1923. His first successful dramatic venture was made with ‘Bats.’ His dramas, ‘The Court of Honor’ (1880), and ‘Jacus’ (1883), are favorite pieces in the theatrical repertoire of Poland. He is the author of two books of fiction: ‘A Step Farther’ (1885); ‘Stories Without a Moral’ (1886).
