Giuseppe Cesare Abba (1838–1910)

Abba, Giuseppe Cesare (äb’bä). An Italian poet; born in 1838 at Cairo Montenotte; died in 1910. He took part in the expedition of Garibaldi into Sicily in 1860, which he celebrated in his poem ‘Arrigo.’ Among his other works are a tragedy, ‘Spartaco,’ a historical novel, and lyric poems.
