James Frederick McCurdy (1847–1935)

McCurdy, James Frederick. A Canadian Oriental scholar; born in Chatham, NB, Feb. 18, 1847; died in 1935. He published: ‘Aryo-Semitic Speech’ (1881); ‘The Semitic Perfect in Assyrian’ in the ‘Transactions of the Congress of Orientalists’ (1883); and various essays on subjects connected with Oriental learning.
