Julia Magruder (1854–1907)

Magruder, Julia. An American prose-writer; born in Charlottesville, VA, Sept. 14, 1854; died at Richmond, June 9, 1907. She published: ‘Across the Chasm,’ anonymous (1885); ‘At Anchor’ (1887); ‘A Magnificent Plebeian’; ‘Princess Sonya’; ‘The Violet’; ‘A Manifest Destiny’ (1900); ‘A Sunny Southerner’ (1901).
