Sarah Towne Martyn (1805–1879)

Martyn, Sarah Towne. An American writer of semi-historical fiction; born in Hopkinton, NH, Aug. 15, 1805; died in New York, Nov. 22, 1879. Some of her books are: ‘Huguenots of France’ (1865); ‘Sibyl Grey’ (1866); ‘Women of the Bible’ (1868); ‘The Crescent and the Cross’ (1869); ‘Dora’s Mistake’ (1870); and ‘Hillside Cottage’ (1872).
