Guido Mazzoni (1859–1943)

Mazzoni, Guido (mat-sō’nē). An Italian poet and scholar; born at Florence, June 12, 1859; died in 1943. He became professor of Italian literature in the University of Padua, 1887. He wrote: ‘Epigrams’ (1880); ‘Experiments in Metre’ (1882); ‘Poems’ (1883); ‘New Poems’ (1886); ‘Literary Reviews’ (1887); ‘Among Books and Papers’ (1887); ‘Voices of Life’ (1893).
