Elisha Mulford (1833–1885)

Mulford, Elisha. An American Episcopal clergyman and philosophical writer; born at Montrose, PA, Nov. 19, 1833; died at Cambridge, MA, Dec. 9, 1885. He wrote ‘The Nation’ (new ed. 1876) and ‘The Republic of God’ (1881), works of great elevation of thought and expression. (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
