Gustave Nadaud (1820–1893)

Nadaud, Gustave (nä-dō’). A French song-writer and composer; born in Roubaix, Feb. 20, 1820; died in Paris, April 28, 1893. He published: ‘Songs’ (1849); ‘More Songs’ (1873); ‘Unpublished Songs’ (1876); and ‘New Songs’ (2d ed. 1892). He composed the music for many of them. He also wrote a novel called ‘An Idyll’ (2d ed. 1886).
