Barry Edward O’Meara (1786–1836)

O’Meara, Barry Edward. Surgeon to Napoleon and historian of St. Helena; born in Ireland in 1786; died in London, Jan. 3, 1836. He accompanied Bonaparte into exile and was his intimate associate until dismissed from his post July 1818, as a consequence of his intense partisanship for the unfortunate Emperor.
