Vladimir Panaieff (1792–1854)
Panaieff, Vladimir Ivanovich (pä-nī’yef). A Russian story-writer and poet; born in the government of Kazan, 1792; died at St. Petersburg, 1854. He wrote: ‘Panegyrics’ of the poet Derzhavin (1817) and the Emperor Alexander I. (1820); ‘Idylls’ (1820); ‘Miscellaneous Poems’; ‘Stories.’
