Peck, Samuel Minturn. A popular American poet; born in Tuscaloosa, AL, Nov. 4, 1854; died in 1938. Among his works are: ‘Cap and Bells’ (1886); ‘Rings and Love Knots’ (1892); ‘Rhymes and Roses’; ‘Fair Women of To-day’; ‘Alabama Sketches’; ‘Maybloom and Myrtle’ (1910).
