Justin Perkins (1805–1869)

Perkins, Justin. An American missionary; born at West Springfield, MA, March 12, 1805; died in Chicopee, MA, Dec. 31, 1869. He was educated at Amherst and Andover. In 1833 he went to Persia as a missionary, and was active in establishing schools in that country. His works include: ‘Residence of Eight Years in Persia’ (1843); ‘Missionary Life in Persia’ (1861).
