Picot, Émile. A French scholar; born Sept. 13, 1844; died in 1918; professor of Romanian at the School of Oriental Languages in Paris. He published ‘The Servians of Hungary’ (1874); ‘Roumanian Folk-songs of Servia’ (1889); ‘The Italians in France in the Sixteenth Century’ (1902–4).
