Charles Poncy (1821–1891)

Poncy, Louis Charles (pô-sē’). A French poet; born at Toulon, 1821; died in 1891. He was a stone-mason quite without school education. He published a series of volumes of verse: ‘Poems’ (1840); ‘Marine Views’ (1842); ‘Marguerite’s Posy’ (1855).
