Marc Antoine Jacques Rochon de Chabannes (1730–1800)

Rochon de Chabannes, Marc Antoine Jacques (rö-shô” dė shä-bän’). A French dramatist; born in Paris, Jan. 25, 1730; died there, May 15, 1800. He wrote a great number of successful comedies, published under the title of ‘Theatre’ (1786); besides ‘Slothful Nobility’ (1756); and ‘Philosophic and Moral Discourse’ (1768).
