Rosebery, Earl of [Archibald Philip Primrose]. Prime Minister of England; born in London, May 7, 1847; died in 1929. He occupied many positions of honor and importance before becoming chief executive and was a diplomatist of note. Author of ‘Sir Robert Peel’ (1899); ‘Napoleon: the Last Phase’ (1900); ‘Lord Randolph Churchill’ (1906); ‘Chatham’ (1910).
