William Michael Rossetti (1829–1919)

Rossetti, William Michael (rō-set’ē). An English poet and art critic, brother of Dante Gabriel; born in London, Sept. 25, 1829; died in 1919. He is the author of ‘Dante’s Comedy—The Hell, Translated into Literal Blank Verse’ (1865); ‘Poems and Ballads: A Criticism’ [of Swinburne] (1866); ‘A Life of Percy Bysshe Shelley’ (1869); ‘Life of John Keats’ (1887); ‘Memoirs of Gabriele Rossetti’ (1901); ‘Some Reminiscences’ (1906).
