Charles Beecher (1815–1900)

Beecher, Charles. An American clergyman and author, brother of Henry Ward Beecher; born in Litchfield, CT, Oct. 7, 1815; died in 1900. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 1834, and held various pastorates. Among his published works are: ‘David and his Throne’ (1855); ‘Spiritual Manifestations’ (1879); and ‘The Autobiography and Correspondence of Lyman Beecher’ (1863).
