Shinn, Millicent Washburn. An American editor; born at Niles, CA, April 15, 1858; died in 1940. From 1883 to 1894 she was connected with the Overland Monthly. Her writings include poems, sketches, stories, and critiques, for various magazines; also ‘Biography of a Baby’ (1901).
