Melancthon Woolsey Stryker (1851–1929)

Stryker, Melancthon Woolsey. An American Presbyterian clergyman and educator; born at Mt. Vernon, NY, Jan. 7, 1851; died in 1929. He was president of Hamilton College after 1892. He published: ‘Miriam and Other Verses’; ‘Hamilton, Lincoln, and Other Addresses’; ‘The Letter of James the Just’; and many hymns.
