Sir John Suckling (1609–1642)

Suckling, Sir John. An English poet; born at Whitton, Middlesex, in 1609; died in Paris about 1642. His writings appeared as ‘Fragmenta Aurea’ (1646), containing his poems, letters, and the plays ‘Aglaura,’ ‘Brennoralt,’ and ‘The Goblins.’ (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
