Prosper Bender (1844–1917)

Bender, Prosper (bend’ėr). An American descriptive writer; born at Quebec, 1844; died in 1917. Originally a Canadian physician, he removed to Boston (1883), and practices medicine there. He wrote: ‘Old and New Canada’; ‘Literary Sheaves’ (1881).
