William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

Taft, William Howard. Twenty-seventh president of the United States; born at Cincinnati, OH, Sept. 15, 1857; died in 1930. He was Kent professor of law at Yale after 1913, and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, 1921–1930. Author of ‘Popular Government’ (1913).
